Emergency Dentistry
Sometimes this happens, if you have a swelling, a broken or painful tooth, maybe a lost tooth or something else, we will do our best to fit you in and get you out of pain.
Dental Trauma
Dental trauma involving a lost tooth is a dental emergency! If your permanent tooth falls out due to injury, gently clean the root (if intact) and try to reinsert it in the socket as soon as possible. Replacing the tooth within 30 minutes greatly increases the chance of saving it. You can also store the tooth in saliva (like in your cheek) or milk. Do not wait over two hours to see a dental professional.
Dental trauma involving a broken tooth is also an emergency. If you’re in pain, please come to SDDC ASAP—we’ll do our best to fit you in that day.
Dental Abscess
Dental abscess is a dental emergency and should be treated immediately. Dental swellings could spread and become dangerous situations if not treated properly.
Bleeding Gums
If your gums are spontaneously bleeding, yet you have regular cleanings and checkups, this is a dental emergency. Please visit your doctor immediately to check the status of your health. Bleeding gums could be a symptom of more serious health conditions.
To properly evaluate the problem an X-ray of the affected area will be offered, along with a 15-to-30-minute examination. This is necessary to truly diagnose the issue at hand. Within those 30 minutes, your consulting doctor will evaluate your dental situation and give you a clear plan of what needs to be done to have you feeling comfortable again.
